JUDY-JOY BELL
Artist Resume
Judy-Joy Bell
I was born in the seaside township of Kawakawa, in the North Island of New Zealand, and raised in a farming community. I am passionate about life, and I see beauty everywhere, in all things. Creating art is a big part of my passion, and I have been painting and drawing all my life.
I migrated to Queensland in 1986, to the coastal city of Brisbane. I developed a love for the ocean in my adult life, in New Zealand, and started painting marine art, full time, in Brisbane. I also paint a variety of other subjects, animals, landscapes, florals, portraiture and architecture.
I paint primarily in Oils, watercolours, and acrylics, love sketching with charcoal and graphite, and play with pastels from time to time..
I have travelled worldwide painting and gathering reference pictures for future paintings, and my artworks are hanging in private collections in Europe, Asia, USA and Oceania.
